There is nudity and you can get separated. you wear a mask, do not talk, will walk up and down steps (if you chase the show) but you can also choose to sit when you want to. The performers are all talented dancers and act out each scene through combinations of ballet/lyrical dance which is intense at times. There isn’t a starting place but there is most certainly an ending scene in the banquet hall. The audience will have to chase the show, or happen upon the show depending on your timing and the room you are in. Very loosely based on Macbeth and if you’re lucky Hitchcock’s Rebecca, but also other influences. Sleep No more is, without a doubt, a very different type of performance. Some of us loved it, some had 1:1’s with the actors, some were just watchers and one panicked. We all saw different things and had different experiences. We went with 4 couples on a Saturday night and had dinner after in the club car. By the time you get done upstairs and if you linger at all to listen to the music in Manderly Bar, you'll miss most of the show downstairs. Don't opt for the $25 tickets to the after-show in the Club Car. Note the theme and cuisine changes regularly, so it may get better. Diner-type food dressed-up to be fancy (think french fries and steak - lots and lots of fries) and terrible, terrible wine. Spring for the Maximillian's Guest tickets - it's worth jumping the line and the VIP table at Manderly's Bar before you go. We lingered here and missed the act downstairs in the Club Car, even though we paid ahead of time for a reserved table there. After the adventure you head back to Manderly's Bar (the speakeasy) for wonderful live music. Elaborate sets, dim, dramatic lighting, pop-up scenes, freedom to explore as much as you want - opening doors, picking up artifacts - it was a bit like an adult haunted house. My partner and I opted to split-up and go in the groups they assigned (which I recommend) - dropped at different floors to explore for the two hour experience. From a starting point set in a speakeasy, you are fitted with masks and enter into a 5-story parallel universe filled with roving scenes from MacBeth. This interactive theatre experience was incredible. In a time of re-runs and box stores, this is an opportunity to do something truly unique and different.
