![]() This was great because it meant my son (19 months) scarfed it down too. The food was great tasting and not over saturated with seasonings or flavorings like some places. I mention this because there's a lot of places I go where I'm often left hungry myself. The guy cleaning the seating area was so patient with us and the fact that my toddler had thrown food around (which we were trying to pick up to leave less of a mess!) The owner seemed really down to earth and with a fun personality and great sense of humor.įOOD: Food was awesome and really good sizes! My son eats a ton, and all three of us were able to be full at the end. The employees and whom I believe to be the owner were great. Many times, that worries me, but in this instance I had a great experience. I tip my hat Red Cow and keep up the great work!Ĭame in last night (03Dec22) to a largely empty restaurant. Everything was balanced and compliments each other. ![]() You think it’s over……NO !!! The fries people ! My God were they outstanding with on point garlic and the aioli dipping sauce is a must! Cocktails were also full body and not oversaturated with booze. Don’t just skip over the apps as the sticky wings were out of this world, and the Ruben bites were punch you in the face of flavor. My pictures dont do justice on how AMAZING everything was. No corners cut from feeling invited just as you walk in to the level of safety you feel, to the dining experience and powerful flavors of the food put in front of you. You can tell ownership to management to server take pride in EVERYTHING that is done. Our waitress also gave us all great details about certain dishes as requested. Our waitress never let one person in my family have an empty glass. The manager Grant took the time to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Welcome to the gates of Flavor Town and wow ! The staff is as amazing as the food. The combination of flavors will blow your mind. Honestly WSK will ruin it for all your favorite restaurant. I feel like I'm cheating, maybe I need to go back over and grab a sandwich on the way home. Paul having a meal I would have ranked 5 stars thinking about the food at WSK. I'm literally sitting in a very popular restaurant in St. They're making it hard for me to want to try other places. ![]() I can not compare WSK to any restaurant I've been too in the Midwest. The flavor of all the dishes stay with you wanting to come back later wanting more. WSK dishes have the the type of flavors that stay with you in the great way. The dishes were better than 5 star restaurants I've eaten across the US. Let me tell you the flavors were simply amazing. We ordered the Korean 'BBQ' Beef Hummus Bowl, Korean "BBQ" Beef Short Ribs Bangkok Burrito, MFC Biscuit, Crispy Fish, and shared dish of Caramelized Brussels Sprouts. You ever go to a place oh this is just another fast food spot? Look at the menu and say oh it sounds good but you know it's whatever? To me, Hola Arepa is a spot with a good eats that is good, could be great. Maybe some raspberries to bring tartness and/or mint would’ve cut down the sweetness. After we finished, we had too sweet taste at the back of the throat. It was crunchy, nutty, oatmeally □, with a creamy vanilla ice cream texture. The dessert consisted of two gigantic oatmeally (I know this is not a word) with chocolate chips, cookies chest bumping poor vanilla ice cream. Lastly, for dessert, we ordered the ice cream sandwich and it was probably the highlight of our meal. A few slices of pickles would go a long way to hep cut through the richness of sandwich. The only thing I would add would be the tart/pickle element. Probably some paprika and cumin in the rub that enhanced its flavor. ![]() The pulled pork was Smokey and had a rich and fatty flavor. A little more spice and salt would’ve bumped the entree in the rankings. I’m not a cultural food expert by any means, but I wished the chicken was sautéed to give it more taste and texture. Tasted like boiled chicken and the chimichurri was fresh, slight spice and tasted like cilantro. I wished that instead of cucumbers, it was fruits like strawberries. ![]() The Dos drink was a pineapple and cucumber refresher that reminded me of pickle juice. Despite that, the food missed on some elements that I was looking for. Always topped off our waters and knew the menu. Our server was attentive and respectful of our space and knew when to stop by the table. The place had cozy decor and almost made me forget you the mid-west winter. A tropical paradise that had good, not great, food. ![]()
